Art Supply Fee : $20 (students will also be expected to obtain some basic personal supplies in addition to those provided in class)
***placement in Art A, Art B, and Advanced Art is based on Mrs. Apted's evaluation of each student's work to ensure that your student gets the essential building blocks in their art training as they progress and move to the next level.
These students will also have an opportunity to compete in local art contests.

Some classes require new students to audition with the director to determine placement.

and Ab scales one octave, 16 measures of a prepared solo and sight-reading.
*Private lessons are available in brass, and woodwinds.

- HMV Singers - $300 A performing choral ensemble for students in 3rd grade and up. It will include a variety of sacred and secular choral arrangements. No audition required.
- HMV Chorale - $350 The Chorale is an audition only choir. They also perform a variety of sacred and secular choral literature.
Musical Drama

- $350 Designed for students in grades 4-12 who love to sing and act. This class will present one Musical each year. Students must be enrolled in HMV Singers or HMV Chorale to be eligible for this course. No audition required for class enrollment however auditions take place the second week of September enrollment for specific auditions roles in the production.
Pre-Drama

- $275 A participatory class where we will play games, do interactive skits, learn Scripture songs, and practice working together and following instructions to accomplish common goals. Students perform during intermission and/or before the start of our big Spring Musical Drama, and might perform at our Winter Christmas Recital Concert if students have progressed sufficiently at that time.

Strings classes are designed for beginning through intermediate strings students. Classes are offered to all grade levels and are based on experience and ability. Ear training and some music theory are integrated in all strings classes. All students will learn principles of playing as well as expressiveness when they play, and will gain the experience of making music in an ensemble.

Classes are structured around mastery of songs with increased difficulty throughout the year. The ASL alphabet and
basic vocabulary are covered as well. Group songs will be performed semiannually at HMV concerts.
Class will learn a minimum of 750 words for the year . An introduction to Deaf Culture will be included as part of the class
This class will participate in performing songs for the HMV concerts.
Class supplies: 3 ring notebook, pen or pencil, and paper for taking notes.
There will be music performances in small and large groups. Group songs will be performed semiannually at the HMV concerts.
It is not a requirement to have completed the Intermediate class prior to this class.
